Our Mission Statement

Manassas Area Woodworkers’ Guild is a group for all Levels of Woodworkers and those with a commitment to the community 

The Manassas Area Woodworkers’ Guild was established to develop, promote, increase, cultivate, and foster an understanding and appreciation of the art and science of woodworking through meetings, publications and the presentation of exhibitions, film, and lecture programs for the benefit of persons residing in the Northern Virginia area. 

Organized in 2017 and incorporated in 2022, the Manassas Area Woodworkers’ Guild is an association whose members share a common interest in woodworking and commitment to the community. Our group is open to persons of all skill levels, from beginner to professional and those that just have an interest in woodworking. 

A Group with a Variety of Activities 

Our meetings feature guest speakers as well as members who share their expertise. Topics covered have included: shop safety, project planning, construction techniques, gluing, clamping, sharpening, finishing, turning, tool and jig demonstrations, wood carving, and bending. 

Give Back to the Community 

Our group is committed to giving back to the community. We can collect woodworking items provided by members for donation to other nonprofit charities and civic organizations for subsequent distribution to aid needful recipients throughout Northern Virginia
